In Jira a Release is a Version

 Instructions

Creating a Release/Version

  1. Navigate to the Releases page

  2. Select the option Create version

  3. Give the version a name and release date

  4. Save it

  5. It will have no issues associated with it

  6. Select the Version

  7. Select Add Issue to add an issue

  8. Navigate back to the Roadmap

  9. Notice the warning symbol at the end of the epic time bar. This is because the epics have been set to end beyond the version release dates
