Introduction
Knowing, understanding and managing risks is an important part of any architecture development method. Clearly when an organisation needs to respond to some kind of trigger via a pressure point, the risk of doing as well as the risk of not doing something is critical to the life of the organisation. These are the initial risks. For a given point in time, some risks just cannot be mitigated, the residual risks. These residual risks should be noted and an appropriate plan drawn up as to how these residual risks should be dealt with at a later stage.
