This is a summary model of the steps outlined in the TOGAF® specification for phases B, C and D

Step-by-step guide

  1. Select reference models, viewpoints, and tools

  2. Develop Baseline Business /IS/Technology Architecture Description (using BBs)

  3. Develop Target Business/IS/Technology Architecture Description (using BBs)

  4. Perform gap analysis

  5. Define candidate roadmap components

  6. Resolve impacts across the Architecture Landscape (other BBs)

  7. Conduct a formal stakeholder review

  8. Fully document then check BBs against goals, requirements, standards, models, risks and gaps.

  9. Create/modify Architecture Definition Document and increment version if necessary
